I studied Media computing at UC San Diego. Upon graduation, I worked at UC San Diego's Center for Community Health coordinating the production of educational videos and leading a PhotoVoice after school program.
I then worked at University of San Francisco as an instructional designer and faculty trainer. At USF, I received an M.A. in Digital Technologies for Teaching and Learning. By then I realized that my passion for creating visuals and interactive platforms had a clear focus: ensure student learning. I also developed a new aspiration, ensuring that my visual and interactive e-learning designs are accessible to all. Now I am a first year (online/hybrid) doctoral student in education (with an emphasis in Teaching, Learning, and Culture) at San Diego State University and Claremont Graduate University. My research interests include Issues of equity in online higher education, online education in transnational contexts, and transborder student phenomenon
